Our Teachers

Veronica Hughes BSc MCSP has been a Chartered Physiotherapist since qualifying in 1985 and is registered with the HCPC (PH33758). She is an APPI qualified Pilates teacher.

John Trainor BSc MCSP has been a Chartered Physiotherapist and registered with HCPC (PH78227) since qualifying in 2006. He is an APPI qualified Pilates teacher.

Ian McIlfatrick BSc MSc MCSP has been a Chartered Physiotherapist and registered with HCPC (PH112980) since qualifying in 2017. He is an APPI qualified Pilates teacher.

Shaunagh Stranaghan has been an APPI qualified Pilates teacher since 2017.

Maria Carson qualified via YMCA Awards as a Pilates teacher in 2019.

Dee Ferguson qualified via YMCA Awards as a Pilates teacher in 2019.

All our teachers are experts in Pilates tution.

Several are trained in the APPI methods and are also members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. These chartered physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and meet their standards.

Our other teachers are qualified Advanced Diploma in Pilates Matwork (Accredited at EQF Level 4) accredited by YMCA Awards who are the UK's leading awarding body for health, fitness and wellbeing qualifications and by REPs Ireland (Register for Exercise Professionals in Ireland), which independently verifies exercise professional qualifications to the international standards developed and published by the European Health and Fitness Association (EHFA).
